Cows and Beyond

I have been painting Centre County farm scenes for more than 15 years. Recently I decided to branch out and paint some scenes from trips my daughter and I have taken. Kate lives in Colorado, so two summers ago we went on a road trip through the central Rockies from the Black Canyon of the Gunnison to Mesa Verde. I found that my palette had to make some significant changes to record the range of colors I was seeing. Last summer we went to the Olympic peninsula and spent 3 days on the Quileute reservation on the shores of the Pacific Ocean. The sea stacks were amazing and watching the sun set on the summer solstice over the Pacific was incredible.

This show contains some paintings of Centre County (including a few cows) as well as paintings from Colorado and Washington.
