In the Kitchen

This show is an ode to The Kitchen, a place where I seem to spend a lot of time. Or maybe it just seems that way. It is a place I return to again and again. It is the place where I do my morning writing, where I feed my cat before I go up to bed. It is a source of joy and boredom, mindless repetition and boundless creativity. A source of pleasure and delight but also (sometimes physical) pain and emotional anguish. There are spectacular triumphs and equally spectacular failures. From the super banal to the sublime, The Kitchen is a feast for all of the senses with captivating (but also sometime repulsive) smells, sounds, colors, flavors, and of course textures. The Kitchen represents a common place, where from the very beginning of existence when it was just a space around an open fire, to today's tech gadget happy haven, people have loved to gather and converse, argue, share and engage, surrounded by the aforementioned smorgasbord of physical and metaphysical sensations. In short, I am a fan and I would like to share that love with you.
